THE HOLT, HAMPSHIRE - PROJECT COURSE
THE PROJECT COURSE WILL HOPEFULLY RETURN LATER IN 2021
A block of 4 or 5 classes in
Botanical and Natural Science Art
Tuesdays 10am - 2pm
The Holt Estate, near Winchester, Hampshire
These classes take a project-based approach whereby the theme for each block of classes is confirmed in advance. In addition, students will be able to chose whether they study botanical art or natural history art for the duration of each course.
There is the opportunity for group demos, individual tuition, as well as student led-learning. The latter will be supported by Sarah so that everybody has the opportunity to learn from each other in an environment that encourages confidence and the progressive development of techniques and skills. This will also ensure that those with some experience will continue to benefit from attending the class. Often a guided open-forum approach will be taken where technique or media challenges will be worked on together and resolved.
Often students will choose to work in their sketchbooks or alternatively work towards a finished piece.
Spring term theme 2020:
The Holt Hedgerows - depicting the natural history and botanical elements of the hedgerows found on the Holt Estate.
Skill level required: some experience of detailed drawing and watercolour painting.
BOOKING REQUIRED & COURSE FEES PAYABLE IN ADVANCE
General refreshments are provided, but bring a packed lunch
